Couchdog Collective is a Melbourne/Naarm based group that aims to connect artists from all disciplines together. Through creating an inclusive and accepting environment we plan to showcase the talent that our incredible city has to offer.  

So, what is a Couchdog? We all know the stereotype of the ‘starving artist’. An individual whose creative pursuit is more important than all else. The couch surfing hippie. The broke busker. A Couchdog. This concept has positive and negative connotations and as a collective we want to re contextualize what being a creative person means. Breaking the notion that creation has to be done in isolation and that well-being has to be put second to what we make. It does not have to be a solo endeavour. Life in general is far more enjoyable and exciting when shared with others with varying viewpoints and backgrounds.
